For those of you who have read our past updates on Maria’s house you know that starting in April we had a team come down and move ahead on finishing Maria’s house which she’s been waiting to be finished since August of 2013. Then in July of this year we had another team come down and they were able to finish the work on the house. After the July team left we were very excited to get ahold of the owner of the house because there is some paper work he needs to sign before Maria can actually move into the house.

Over the last 3 months our missionaries in Guatemala have left many messages for this man but he has never returned the calls. We found out last week that he is not actually the owner of the house (as we had been previously told) but he is only the contractor of the project to build the house. We were given a phone number to contact the owner of the house. Our missionaries are now trying to contact the owner of the house to get them to sign the necessary paperwork.  We were shocked to find out that the man we had been working with all along, and who we thought was the owner, was not the man we needed to be talking to but we are thankful that we now have the correct information and can move forward.

We would like to ask that all of you would join us in praying that we would be able to get ahold of the owner of this house quickly and get the necessary papers signed so that Maria can move into this new house she has been promised. She has been waiting for over a year and thankfully the owner of the house she currently lives in continues to be patient and wait to sell it because he does not want to leave Maria without a place to live. He does however, need the money from this land and we do not know how much longer he will be able to wait.
