On November 30, 2014 two dreams came to life through one event.  On this day Jerson Cordero was the first person in his family to complete his high school education and graduate.  Emilia Cordero, Jerson’s mom, has had this dream for her children ever since she became an under educated, single mother and realized how hard it is to survive without a proper education.  Emilia worked hard, as did Jerson, to provide for his education but due to some extreme financial difficulties over the last 3 years they could no longer afford for Jerson to attend school.  This was heartbreaking as he only had 1 more year to complete before he graduated.  Thankfully, through faithful donations of supporters like you Jerson was able to attend school this past year through the SARF ministries education program.  Jerson and his whole family are so grateful for this blessing.  Our missionaries in Guatemala had the opportunity to attend Jerson’s graduation and share in this special day for the Cordero family.

The other dream that came to life through this event was that those of us involved with the SARF ministry got to see the first “fruit” of the SARF vision which is to help with education, job training, medical care, or Micro finance loans to get families to a self sustainable point.  Those of us involved with this ministry, along with our Executive Director who started this ministry out of a vision God has given him, are all so excited for this monumental event!!
