Last week our missionaries were visiting with the Diaz family to share with them an Easter blessing and they shared a difficulty that they are having with some of their neighbors because of a blessing they are receiving.  A few days before, a few neighbors had thrown lemons with crosses on them into the family’s yard.  This is a sign of witchcraft and it means that the people who are doing this are cursing the family.

The reason for this is that some of their neighbors have become envious of the children because this year they have the opportunity to attend a better school than the one they were attending last year.  This decision for school was made because of some of the struggles that the children were having last year.  The kids love their new school and are thriving, learning, and are excited to study.  However, some of the neighbors are giving them a hard time because they are not able to send their kids to a better school.

Mirna has asked us to please pray about this for them because she does not want to have problems with her neighbors.  She expressed how she would like them to be happy for this blessing that her children have rather than cursing them so she would like us to pray for their neighbors also.

We also ask that you would please pray for God to do away with any envy people are having because this is the second family we have heard about recently who has envious neighbors as a result of a blessing they are receiving.  If you would like to read about the other family please click on this link and pray for them as well.
