In Spanish when you’re talking about if someone passed or failed their year of school you use the words that translate into win or lose…just as you would in English when talking about if someone won or lost a challenge.  So here in Guatemala you have either won the year or you lost the year of school.  We are so happy to share that Eric, Luis, and Marlin all WON their year of school this year.

This is a huge achievement, especially for Eric who has had so may troubles in school and who failed (or lost) the school year last year.  As we shared in our last post Eric has really excelled in his new school this year and thanks to your faithful support he will be able to continue attending this school next year.

Luis did have some struggles this school year but he continues to do better and is happy to be advancing to the next grade as well.

Marlin, who has always done well in school, continued to excel this year.  She used to do better in school than either of her brothers but now that Eric is in his new school their just might be some competition in the family 🙂

The kids also got to spend a day at the zoo with the members of the recent team that was here Serving At Risk Families. They had a lot of fun and were able to make some new friends with team members and children from some of the other families served through SARF.

Please pray for the these children to continue to do well in school.  Please also pray for their continued healing from the wounds of their past and that they would continue growing closer to Jesus the only one who can truly heal them and give them a sense of belonging and self worth.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support for this family and for helping to make a difference in the lives of these sweet children!
