One of the best things you can do as a parent is teach your children the importance of setting and achieving goals.  This is something Apolonia does regularly with her 3 girls and when you look at their motivation you can see that they are definitely learning this lesson.

This year Jenifer, Sylvia, and Ana have once again done exceptionally well in their schooling.  They all passed the year and continue to earn awards for their achievements in school.

One of Apolonia’s greatest desires is that her girls will get a good education so that they are not stuck in the same situation she is in when they are older.  She has repeatedly shared with us how she wants better for her girls and than for them to be single moms, with no education, and very limited skills to provide for their families as is the case for Apolonia.  Your faithful support every month helps this desire to become a reality as the girls are attending a school that Apolonia on her own would not be able to afford.  The girls are very proud and appreciative of the fact that they get to go to one of the better schools and their work ethics show how important this is to them.

Silvia and Ana also recently had the opportunity spend the day at the zoo with the team that was here Serving At Risk Families in October.  Sadly, Jenifer was sick that day but we were sure to bring her back lots of goodies to enjoy.

Please pray for the girls to continue to succeed in reaching their goals in school.  Please also pray for Apolonia to find a job that will allow her to provide completely for her family.  Also, please pray that they would continue to draw closer to the Lord.  They are very active in their local church and love to spend time with their friends at church.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for this family and for helping them to end the cycle of under education and poverty!  We know from the tears that Apolonia sheds, almost every time she talks about the help her families receives, that she is more appreciative than she could ever express.
