The Perez family has had a difficult time recently.  The mother, Juanita, lost her job because she was cleaning the house of a family and they could no longer afford to pay her for cleaning the house.  Also, their oldest daughter Katy did not pass in school last year so she will need to repeat the grade again.

These challenges have been difficult for the family because with Juanita and Pedro both working they were struggling to get by but now Juanita is out of work which makes things even more difficult.  Thankfully, Juanita has been able to pick up some odd jobs to help out with the bills and the daughters, Maty and Katy, were able to work during their time off from school to help as well but it is still a struggle.

It is also difficult for Juanita and Pedro to see their daughter not pass in school because they moved here so that their children can get a better education.  Katy has expressed that she knows she needs to put more effort into her schooling so that she can continue to move forward in her education.

Pedro has also been suffering from some sort of pain in his abdomen.  He is visiting the doctor regularly and having tests done to find out what is causing him the pain.  He even had to miss some days of work because the pain was too unbearable, but thankfully it is under control now.

Please pray for Juanita to find a job that is long term and that helps cover the family bills.  Please also pray for Katy to do better in her schooling this year.  Also pray for Pedro to be healed of whatever is causing him pain.

On a more positive note the whole family is very happy because their oldest son has finished his education and has come to stay with the family now.  For the past several years he was living in their home town of Nebaj until he finished his education and it has been difficult for the family to be apart.
