In our last post we shared how Dayana, the mother of this family, was beginning her search for a steady job in administration. She now has 2 job options to choose from and possibly a third on the way. Dayana was so happy to share this the other day with some of our missionaries as she sought their advice on what she should do. They counseled her to continue praying for God to show her His will in which job He wants for her and which job He knows will be best for her family.
Dayana asked that we would all join her in praying about this decision. It is very important to her that she makes the choice that God wants for her life so that she knows she is following His will.
Dayana also shared with us that her sons, Andre and Estuardo, are doing well in school. Andre had some struggles last year but still passed and this year he is doing much better. Estuardo moved back with his grandparents because he really likes the school there and he is now involved with a church where his grandparents live. It is hard for Dayana to not see him every day but she wants what is best for her boys and she is thankful he is doing well in school and attending church. Andre is still not attending church and Dayana asks that we would pray for him to come back to seeking the Lord.
Another exciting thing for Dayana is that she recently received donations to start attending chef school. She has donations committed for the first 6 months and she is very excited to do this because it has been a dream of hers for quite some time. She now attends school on Saturdays so that she is available to work during the week. Dayana is also starting the process of making a cookbook with some of her favorite recipes to sell so that she can continue with her education in the future.
When our missionaries were talking with Dayana the other day she asked us to share this with all of you: “thank you for all your help and support and prayers, especially since most of you don’t know me personally. Even though I haven’t been able to write to you all I want to express my thanks for your love and support for us and we pray that God blesses all of you and your families.”
Please continue to pray for the boys to do well in school and for them to pass their year this year. Please also pray for God to give Dayana wisdom in the choice she now has between jobs and for Him to continue to help her with her studies to be a chef and with her cookbook fundraising venture.
Thank you for your faithful prayers, love, and support for this family!
