In our last post we shared how the mother of Luis, Josue and Marlyn has come back into their lives and is visiting with them regularly to try to reestablish a relationship with them.

This is going well and the kids are enjoying the opportunity to have time with their mother again.  She is still visiting them once a month at the home where they live with the local pastor and his family.  She also came to church with them a few weeks ago and they were so happy and proud to tell our missionaries that their mom was in church with them.  There have been some discussions between the people who are caring for the kids regularly and their mom just to be sure that everything is being done in a way that is healthy for the children.

The kids also are doing well in school.  Marlyn is in a new school this year as she is now attending the school that Josue started attending last year.  They both love going to this school and are continuing to do well.  Luis had a few struggles this bimester as he barely passed 3 of his classes but he is still doing better than he was doing last year for which we are all thankful.

A team that was here in January installed a computer lab/study area and the kids are regular attenders for the daily study hall that the church has in the computer lab.  This has been a great help for them with their homework which has helped them to do better on their grades.

 Please continue to pray for Luis, Josue, Marlyn and their relationship with their mother to grow in a healthy way.  Also, please continue to pray for them to do well in school and for all of them to pass this year.
