Over the last few months since our last update the Diaz family has had a some difficulties. Carmen and Oscar have been struggling in their school. They have failed some classes due to not turning in assignments or not having all of the materials they need to do their assignments. Our missionaries shared with them that if they can call us and give us a little advanced notice we can see what we can do about getting them the supplies that they need. The missionaries also shared with the kids the importance of turning in their homework and doing well in school so that they can have a better future. They were assured that everyone at Servants loves them and only wants the best for them that is why we care so much about them doing well in school.
Mirna has also had some difficulties over the last few months with the father of the children coming around and asking her neighbors questions. This has really stressed her out but thankfully she is getting closer to some of our missionaries and has been opening up to them about these issues. They have been able to encourage her to rely on Jesus during this difficult time because He’s the one who can change situations. Mirna has been faithfully reading a devotional that was shared with her by sponsors who came and visited with the family and Oscar has been reading his bible regularly. When our missionaries visit, the family is always excited to share with them about the things they have learned through the bible and devotional and spend time reading with our missionaries. Mirna shared that during a difficult day she read her devotional and felt comforted by it because it talked about praying during times of trouble and giving our troubles to Jesus. We are all so thankful for how the family is growing closer to Jesus and for how they are growing closer to some of our missionaries and really starting to open up and trust them.
Please pray for Mirna, Carmen, and Oscar as they work through these struggles and continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus!
Thank you for all of your prayers, love, and support for this family!
