In our last update for the Jimenez family we shared about how we had found a christian rehab center that is free.  It is a 10 month program and we have been searching for options of how to help the family care for the boys while Jorge is away for 10 months in rehab.  We finally got to a point where we had this all worked out and Jorge agreed to go to rehab.  It was scheduled that 2 of our missionaries would pick him up on a Monday night so he could finish his previous week of work and let them know he would not be able to come back for 10 months.

When our missionaries showed up to pick Jorge up he was no where to be found.  His mother told us that he was telling her the whole weekend that he was not going to go to rehab but she kept hoping that he would show up after work and go.  We now have to figure out how we can continue to serve this family, making sure that the boys are cared for properly and continuing to encourage Jorge to get the help he needs.  Please pray for the Lord to change Jorge’s heart so he can be healed of this addiction and better care for his family.

Brandon, Jorge’s second to youngest son, recently had an accident where another boy hit his hand with a machete.  The family took him to the doctor near their house but thankfully a few days later one of our missionaries went to visit with a relative who is a nurse.  They saw that Brandon’s hand was infected and so they took him to another doctor.  Praise the Lord his hand is healing well and while they were at the doctor they found out that Brandon has anemia also so after he completes his antibiotics he will be starting medicine for anemia.

Please pray for healing for all of these things that are happening in the lives of this family right now.
