We are so excited to share with you all that a few weeks ago Beverly opened her heart and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior!!

For quite some time now Beverly has been struggling because she has not felt motivated to seek a deeper relationship with the Lord. Last year she started taking some classes at her church that taught about baptism but she realized she should not get baptized because she knew she had not opened her heart to Jesus as her Lord and Savior.  Since that point she’s been seeking and struggling.

A few months ago Beverly’s neighbor invited her to come to their church so Beverly and her boyfriend went together.  God really touched Beverly’s heart while she was at this church and she felt moved in a way that she had never felt before.  However, she was now concerned what her parents, pastor, and missionary friends from Servants, who attend her other church, would say.  So she talked with her mom and explained all the reasons that she likes the new church.  Her mom told her that she would pray for her and that Beverly needed to talk to the pastor and to her missionary friends so they can also pray for her and help her seek what is correct.  Beverly shared with her missionary friends what God was doing and how much she loved this new church and why.  They told her that she needs to attend church where she feels most connected to God and where she is growing closer to Him.  They also told her she should talk to her pastor so that there are no hard feelings or misunderstandings about why she is choosing another church.

A few weeks later Beverly was at church and the pastor asked if anyone wanted to pray to accept Jesus and Beverly knew that it was time.  So she went forward and prayed and then her boyfriend also went forward and rededicated his life to Jesus!

Beverly has not had a chance to talk to her pastor at her old church yet but she is so happy with her new decision.  Please continue to pray for her as she grows in her relationship with the Lord .  Please also pray for her family, friends, boyfriends, and our missionaries as they help her along her journey.  Also, please pray that she has a chance to talk with her pastor soon and share the exciting news with him and that he understands why she needs to switch churches.
