Recently, the caregivers for Luis and Josue noticed that there were some strange things happening to them. They were having some issues with their skin and Josue just was not feeling well for quite some time. They took both boys to the doctor and found out that Luis has anemia and Josue has rheumatic fever.
Thanks to a donation of vitamins that Servants received we have been able to help many of our kids combat the anemia which is so common in Guatemala due to a diet that is low in protein and iron. Thankfully, we had enough vitamins that we are now able to help Luis with his anemia and give vitamins to his siblings as well to help prevent anemia. If you are interested in helping with this very important need of vitamins please contact Kasey@Servants.org for more information.
Also, thanks to the faithful donations of monthly sponsors we were able to help Josue receive treatment for his rheumatic fever which was about $175. This is such a blessing as the pastoral family who cares for Josue and his siblings did not have the money to pay for this treatment as they are struggling just to provide food and clothing for those whom God has given them to care for in the House of Refuge.
Thankfully, Marlyn, the sister of Luis and Josue is doing well and not having any health issues. Please continue to pray for healing for these sweet boys. Please also pray for God to provide for any additional treatments that Josue may need for the rheumatic fever.
Thank you for your faithful prayers, love, and support for these children!

A few months ago the boys had a chance to help out with a group who came to serve. Luis is taking a rest because it was some very hard work building a wall for a mother and her family!

Josue loves animals and is always loving on the stray dogs in the community. To the point that he even convinced the people at the house of refuge to let him take one in and make it his pet.
