Please be praying for Dayana… as yesterday she started having very severe stomach pain.  Her sister took her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with appendicitis.  The hospital where she was originally taken, which was a public hospital where the treatment would have had no cost, had a long line of people waiting for surgery so her sister took her to another hospital because she was worried about the appendix bursting.  Unfortunately, the hospital where Dayana had her surgery was not a public hospital so the treatment was not free but the most important thing is she got her surgery and is healing well.  This is one of the saddest things about healthcare in Guatemala: the public hospitals are free but people often have LONG waits for treatment or can’t get treatment at all because there is no medicine.

Please continue to pray for healing for Dayana from her surgery and for provisions for the cost of the surgery.  The pastors from her church went to see her today and they said she is doing well after the surgery.
