The other day we were visiting with Maria, who is having quite a rough time. The illnesses that she has dealt with for several years continue to plague her and she is worn down from being sick. She is also struggling with her business due to the fact that her next door neighbors opened a tienda a few months ago. This has pulled customers away from Maria and has significantly decreased her earnings. We are asking that you would continue to join us in persistently praying for Maria. It is very exhausting to battle chronic illness and not be able to find anything that will give you permanent relief. Maria is feeling the effects of the exhaustion. She is tired of being sick, she is tired of having difficulties with her neighbors, she is tired of barely selling enough to survive, and she is tired of feeling like her prayers aren’t getting answered. However, she is not tired of praying! Every time our missionaries visit and ask if they can pray for her she gladly accepts and is thankful for the prayers. We remind her often that there are people in the U.S. who are praying for her too and she is very grateful for your prayers as well!
She recently said this to one of our missionaries, “Please tell my sponsors that I am thankful for all they have done and continue to do to help me; and that they continue to think of me and pray for me.”
It has been several long hard years for Maria but praise the Lord; she is not giving up her faith. Please continue to pray persistently about the struggles Maria is having and that she feels the Lord close to her and caring for her in every way.
Thank you for all your love, prayers, and support for Maria! Please remember if you would ever like to send her a letter of encouragement you can visit mySARF.org and click on the “write to your family tab” or send a message directly to Melissa@Servants.org
