The Jimenez family has gone through a lot of changes over the past several months. Jorge lost his job that he had and has worked a few days here and there harvesting coffee and other crops in the fields. Most recently one of the farms he has worked at lent him about an acre and a half to plant corn. He has planted the corn and is waiting to harvest it.
Jorge had stopped drinking and started taking medicine for a medical issue, but a short while later he stopped taking the medicine and started drinking again. Please continue to pray for the battles that he experiences with this addiction, and most importantly please join us in praying for his salvation.
The family has been working together with Roselia, Jorge’s ex-wife and the mother of his children, to arrange for Kevin and Brandon to see their mom and for Andre and Anthony to see their dad. The siblings have also visited one another in each others’ homes. This has been a positive as Jorge, Kevin, and Brandon have had a chance to see their other family members that they went two years without seeing.
After spending several days with his mother, Kevin stated that he would prefer to live with her. Jorge agreed, and Kevin moved in with his mom. He still visits his dad at his home, but he is spending most of his time at his mom’s house. Because Kevin’s mom lives a good distance from his dad. It is not possible for him to commute to school each day, so he is no longer studying this year. Please join us in praying for him to have a desire to return to school next year and study. Without a proper education it will be very difficult for him to have a brighter future. Brandon continues to live with Jorge and Carmen and is still attending school.
Thank you for all your continued prayers and support for the Jimenez family!
