Jackeline and her kids have been struggling a bit lately.
Alejandra’s feet have sprouted painful plantar warts recently and has begun laser treatment to have them removed. Thankfully, the treatments seem to be working and 3 of the 5 warts are now gone. Her next appointment for a treatment is in January. We praise God for her healing and that she feels little to no pain now, whereas in the beginning, it was difficult for her to walk.
Jairo has really been struggling with his math class. He failed math this year and the school has extended a couple make-up tests to recover the points he needs to pass the year. We have been diligently working alongside him to help him study and point out some ways he can improve such as taking his time working through the math problems and being surer of his answers once he reaches them. He failed his first make-up exam and took his second, but since school is closed for the year, we will not know until January when school starts again if he passed. We are also working on looking into a male psychologist for him as he seems to be struggling once again. His school director suggested a male psychologist as he is close to moving into the time of puberty and might need a male figure to be able to relate to better.
Jackeline has experienced heightened levels of anxiety and stress not just from her children but also familial problems as well as struggles with her boyfriend. She continues to search for work but has struggled to find openings and when she applies to openings, does not hear back from her potential employers. We encouraged her to think about any type of additional schooling or training she might be interested in and we would see if we could help her with it.
Please continue to pray for growth for this beautiful family, that the Lord would guide them, give them peace, and help them as they try to overcome these roadblocks the enemy seems to be putting in their way.
