A bit has changed since our last update on the Escobar family.  Jamilton and Hipolita still have work.  Jamilton’s job has treated them well and while he is still waiting to be brought on as a full-time employee, he currently works full-time hours with some benefits.  We have learned his employer came from a poor family and has grown her own construction business.  She likes to give and help others.  In the case of Jamilton, he received a bonus which was very unexpected and a huge blessing to the family.  With the bonus money, they were able to purchase some extra sheet metal to fix up the house they are living in.  In addition, the owner had a change of heart and said she would compensate them for the extra work done on the house.  This is crucial as we are now in the rainy season and they had a lot of problems with rain entering their house and wind blowing through. They rearranged their house a bit for more room and this has benefited them emotionally as a family.

Fabiola no longer works for the chicken restaurant as it was discovered to be a front for illegal gang activity!  The police showed up a few times investigating and they threatened to arrest her next time they came even if she isn’t involved.  She quit that day and since then, the place has been closed down.  She has shown an interest in working in beauty salons and is applying for jobs at various places, even if it is just to help clean, so she can start to grow in this area.  We would like to see her attend a trade school offered by the municipality so she can learn more about this job field.

We recently learned that the boy Hipolita was caring for passed away.  However, the family she is working for decided to keep her employed as she cares for the house on a daily basis!  We are thanking God for this blessing on their lives.

The doctor recently put Demitri on a restricted diet as it appears he is gaining weight too fast.  They are working to find ways to reduce how much he eats without making him feel like he is suddenly losing all the food he likes.  Additionally, they are monitoring his milk intake as they had previously given him free rein of how much he can drink.

Please pray for God to continue blessing this family, grow them closer to Him, and provide a steady job for Fabiola.
