We had a great time visiting with the Vasquez ladies recently and were blessed to see all of them at once! Usually one of the girls is at the market or running errands but they made a point to be home when we planned to visit with them. The girls continue to do well in school despite some occasional struggles, but Paola is most nervous about her practicuum coming up in the fall! She will be graduating this year if she is able to find a site for her practicuum. Please pray that she is able to find a place to practice in and hopefully that will also lead to a job!

Apolonia continues to sell fruit from her home and the girls find odd jobs as possible amidst their studies. They have not required a food bag recently which is a good sign! During our visit, we were talking about Ana’s upcoming quinceñera (15th birthday) and how it will be difficult this year since her family won’t be able to travel from the mountains to celebrate with her. Their grandparents have been suffering from complications of diabetes and have been bedridden the past few months. The rest of the family is taking care of them and there is little work to afford the trip to the city. The girls were able to save up some money to travel during Holy Week this year and visit but other than that have only been able to maintain contact via phone.
Please pray they continue to stay safe, the girls continue doing well in school, and we can find a way to help make Ana’s special day something to remember even though there won’t be many people to attend.
