Recently we shared about Olga moving out from the house of refuge to live on her own for the first time ever. The place she initially found to live was pretty far away from the church and from where she has set up her food selling business. She was also having problems with the owner of the house. He would use bad words and yell often at the kids because he didn’t like them playing. Olga realized this was not a good situation for her family but she also saw that the Lord was using her in this situation to take His light and good news to her neighbors. During her time in her old house she befriended a woman and her husband who have both recently rededicated their lives to the Lord. For this reason Olga was hesitant to move but then one of the neighbors, a young man of 23 years who is in a gang, started giving a lot of attention to Olga’s 12 year old daughter, Beverly, and her Beverly was reciprocating this attention. It was at this point that Olga consulted one of Servants’ missionaries that she is very good friends with about what she should do. She didn’t want to leave if God wanted to use her here but as the missionary explained she needed to think of what was best for her family first. Finally things got to a point that Olga knew she had to go, for the safety of her family.

So within 2 days the Lord provided her with another place to live. This place has more space than her last home, it is closer to the church, the caretaker of the building is a Christian, and it is located on the corner of a main street which means she can sell her food right out in front of her house rather than having to travel to the church to do it.

Olga and her family are very happy with this new place although she has had some issues with Beverly because she had to leave her “boyfriend” behind. But Olga knows that she did the right thing and she is very adamant that she does not want Beverly getting caught up with the wrong crowd and ending up uneducated and pregnant at a young age much like what happened with Olga.

Please continue to pray for God’s blessing over this new home. Pray that the Lord would show Olga how He wants to use her to be His light in this new location and pray for the issues that Olga is having with Beverly.
