As mentioned before, she doesn’t see the point in trying to go to the doctor because, “they just take your money and nothing gets better.” Even though she has accessibility to the socialized health care system, she still has to pay a minimal copay and for the medicine they might prescribe. She had been working towards getting a procedure done on her knees but with complications of the pandemic and her bloodwork not being as healthy as they would have liked, the surgery kept getting put off and she lost interest.

Hector had taken to drinking again but got sick, which made him stop drinking. He was prescribed medicine to help him recover and has since been sober. She continues to ask for prayer for him and that the alcoholism he suffers from would be gone forever.
