Our missionaries in Guatemala had the blessing of spending the day with the Mateo family this past Wednesday. They drove to the Mateos’ current home which is about an hour away to take them to visit some homes in Linda Vista and to have them meet the pastor and the church we work with there which could become their church home if they choose.

The kids jumped right in the van and couldn’t wait to get going! They even brought their puppy along so he wouldn’t destroy the house while they were gone all day 🙂

Brandon was so excited for his first car ride and he kept looking out the window amazed at stuff he saw
The family visited 2 houses that day because they weren’t sure the first one would work for all their needs. They really liked the second one they visited and with a few adjustments to make it more accessible for Ludwin and his wheelchair it will work great for them. In between visiting the houses the family visited the church and spent some time talking with Pastor Jorge and with our missionaries about the church, the house, the neighborhood etc. They even had the opportunity to meet some of the church members and neighbors as they were walking in the community.
After visiting the houses and the church and having lunch we then took the family to buy some shoes for some of the children who needed them. During this time Ludwin offered to skip getting shoes for himself to help cover some of the gas that was used to transport the family that day. Of course we insisted that he still get shoes but it continues to bless us to witness the humbleness and gratefulness of this family for all the God is doing for them through Servants and through you, their faithful supporters.
It was a blessed day for our missionaries to spend with this family and the family expressed that it was a great day for them as well. During some time we had to talk with Ludwin he shared with us that he might have the opportunity to go to college through another group that is interested in helping his family as well. The family continues to thank God for caring for them and providing for all their needs both physical and spiritual.
Please continue to pray for them to seek God’s will on where He wants them to live and for Ludwin’s possible college opportunity. Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support for this family.
