Angelica and her friend have been working together to find different ways to make money. They were renting a small area to make and sell food, primarily tortillas, but they decided to set up shop in Angelica’s house to save money on rent. Chus was able to put up a few pieces of corrugated metal to cover them as they work in the front of the house. Here is a short clip of them at work, Angelica is on the right.
Jeremias has been doing well in school although there has been some communication struggles between the family and the school. We have been encouraging Angelica to stand up for Jeremias to make sure the school is providing what he needs.
Chus’ father who lives in Mexico has not been doing well physically. It has been difficult for Chus to be far from his family and not able to visit. Phone calls cost about $3 each and sometimes the call doesn’t go through but he still gets charged minutes for the call. Please pray for Chus as he cannot be with his father and it has been difficult to connect with the family in these difficult times. We also ask for your prayers that Angelica’s tortilla business continues to flourish so the family has more steady income.
