Our last update on Aminta’s new house was about a team from Illinois that came down and funded the project and started her new house by laying the foundation.  If you missed it, you can read it here.  We left off that chapter of the story that the team had to return to the United States, but the community and church would help finish the project.  Well, Aminta and her family are now living in the house!  To inaugurate God’s wonderful provision of giving her a solid house to live in that doesn’t leak or get flooded, the church held a special service in her front yard.  Her home was filled with loved ones and she was overwhelmed at the love from her church and surrounding community.  While there are still some things that need to be added to the house such as doors and windows, she feels blessed to at least have a solid house to live in.  Here are some pictures from the special service.  You can click on the pictures to see them full screen.

We hope to be able to continue helping Aminta with our next short term team (follow this link to find out how you can be a part of it!) and help finish the retaining wall she needs to prevent erosion of her land during the rainy season.  Here are a couple pictures of where we plan on working.
