Oti had to go to the emergency room as she wasn’t feeling very well but they gave her medicine that seems to be helping. However, the doctors believe she may be developing Parkinson’s Disease as she has begun to tremble uncontrollably and tends to lose her balance easily, which causes her to fall and injure herself.

Hector’s health is also affected by working in his foundry. The doctors said he needs to stop doing that type of work, but it is his trade (and is the back portion of the land they live on) so he does not know what else he can do to maintain a living. They put him on oxygen and their children that live in Guatemala City helped by buying the oxygen tank he needs.
