The quinceaños, or 15^th year celebration, is one of the most anticipated days of a young girl’s life here in Guatemala. This special birthday signifies the transition from childhood to womanhood, and is a day not soon forgotten that highlights God, family, friends, and music.

The planning for this special event sometimes begins a year or more in advance, and each family has different ideas about how they would like to celebrate—some even compare the planning with that of a wedding. Depending on the family, there can be a father-daughter dance, a church blessing, or speeches by family and friends of the young lady. Every quinceañera is unique to the young lady being celebrated.

On January 21, 2017 Beverly shared this special day with her friends and family.  She told us that it was a day that she has dreamed about since she was a little girl and that she loved all of it!  Thanks to help from friends, family, and sponsors the family was able to have this day be everything that Beverly had dreamed about.  Thank you for being a part of blessing this girl as she celebrated the transition into being a young woman.  Please continue to pray for blessing over Beverly and her family.  Please also pray that Beverly would continue to seek the Lord for everything He wants for her life.
