Aminta and her brother Fredy have started sewing tablecloths and pillowcases!  Fredy creates the designs and Aminta is sewing them.  We are currently looking into another ministry that helps folks sell their handmade goods in the tourist markets.  Below are some of their first designs.

We are also very pleased that Aminta’s blood sugar seems to be very well under control now!  She is going to the clinic regularly to get tested, receive her medicine, and she has been following her prescribed diet better.

The girls, however, do not leave us with much good news to report 🙁  Lidia has since left home to live with her boyfriend.  While he treats her well from what we hear, Aminta isn’t happy about it.  He came to ask for Aminta’s blessing and she said that she doesn’t approve but also doesn’t want them doing anything behind her back either.  Lidia and Nancy have not attended school and Nancy has not found a job.  Jeny has also been struggling a lot with math and although we offered to help find her a tutor, she never took us up on it.  In January she has to take another exam to see if they will let her pass the year.

Please continue to pray for the girls as they struggle to find their identity and be responsible for their futures.  Also, continue to pray for Aminta’s health and patience as she tries to lead her girls the best she knows how.  We are also asking God to bless her new business and that it flourishes.
