We are happy to share that Aminta’s daughter-in-law, Linda, is home from the hospital and is healing well from her C-section and subsequent surgery from an infection she obtained at her C-section site.  Some of our missionaries visited their family last week to pray with them and they were happy to see the Linda is healing well and her baby is doing well too.  She went yesterday to have her stitches removed and we are thankful that she now is continuing down the path of healing.

Linda is happy to be home and to finally be able to be with her baby who they have named Leonardo Jeremiah Isaac.  Linda did share that Leonardo’s older sister, Katy, is struggling with a little bit of jealousy as she adjusts from being an only child and has to learn to share mom’s attention but Katy assured us that she likes her new brother 🙂

Please continue to pray for healing for Linda and for Leonardo to thrive.  Please also pray for provisions for this family.  Due to Linda being away from Leonardo for a period of time during her hospital stay and because she is on so many antibiotics she is unable to breastfeed and her milk is going away.  This is sad as breastfeeding is the most common, healthiest, and inexpensive way to feed babies in Guatemala so this will be a trial for the family to continue to provide Leonardo with the milk he needs.
