We recently asked you for your prayers for Fabiola because of her sudden change in family and living situation.  She had a falling out with her mother and left the house, finding refuge in a house that recruits teens and young adults to practice witchcraft and cause mischief in the community.  We have been in regular contact with her to encourage her to reconcile with her mother, who is ready and willing to have the difficult conversation with Fabiola, and to try to get her to leave where she is staying and return to her schooling.  Unfortunately, while she recognizes where she is living is not the best situation for her, her heart has hardened and she refuses to leave and does not want to return to school.  She recognizes the house she is living in and the people living around her are a terrible influence on her, but she prefers to stay there instead of move somewhere else.

In one of the first conversations we had with her about this, we noticed that the house mother she is living with has strict rules and keeps tabs on those living there.  It is possible that Fabiola might be too scared to leave, even if she doesn’t realize it or admit it.  Since she refuses to attend school (and hasn’t gone in about 2 months), we have had to discontinue paying for her classes.  Additionally, we have informed her that we would be willing to help her live somewhere else and help her get back on her feet with food, etc. but we cannot be involved in the place where she is staying.  These occasional conversations we have with her have actually been in secret without the house mother’s knowledge for the protection of our missionaries and the ministry as a whole.

Thankfully, Fabiola was rejected from joining the gang of hoodlums associated with this place.  She admitted to us that she tried joining them but they turned her down, stating she is too young.  Fabiola is in a bad place right now and needs your prayers more than ever.  Please pray for her spiritual and physical safety.  Pray for this house of mischief and evil to be destroyed.  Pray for the softening of her heart so that she may be reconciled to her family.
