The Escobar family continues to struggle to find steady work.  Fabiola had been selling yogurt briefly, but this opportunity didn’t work out and she found herself without work again after two weeks.  Because of this, the family has gotten behind on their rent.  They are currently one month behind.  Thankfully, the owner of the house they’re renting has been understanding with their current situation, but the family worries that if they aren’t able to make up the unpaid rent that they will be evicted from their home and left looking for a place to live.  Please join us in praying for steady work so they’re able to continue living in this home.

In the last update, we shared about Fabiola needing to figure out a way to get her school papers from her previous school a couple hours away.  After losing her job selling yogurt she had more availability, and thanks to faithful sponsors, we were able to help with her bus fare to go to her old school to get the papers.  She is now up to date on all her school paperwork, and she will be able to graduate from the US equivalent of 10th grade this year if she does well in school and passes her classes.

In March, Fabiola contacted one of our missionaries late at night and shared that the family has been having a lot of spiritual battles and asked if the missionary team could pray over them and their house.  A few days later several of our missionaries went to the house to pray over the family and for protection over their house.  Please agree with us in prayer that God would have victory in the lives of each family member.

Here are some additional things you can be praying about in the upcoming weeks:

  • Fabiola and Jamilton have finished their first marking period of schooling. They will soon be receiving their grades.  Pray that they would continue to work hard in their studies.
  • Jamilton Jr. is turning 1 this month. Please pray for his continued development.
  • Fabiola and Jamilton have both showed interest in returning to church. Please pray for the Lord to give them the courage to attend a local church.

Thank you for all your continued encouragement, love, prayers, and support for the Escobar family!
