Inclosed you will find the grades of Carmen and Oscar Diaz. At first, we were a little worried that Carmen received 3 failing grades this term, but we learned this is common when children transition from primary school to middle school. The pace is difficult to get used to and there is a bigger coarse load as you can see in the difference between Carmen’s classes and Oscar’s classes. Mirna is very pleased with Oscar’s grades as he wasn’t doing very well last year as a result of his father leaving. She has become more vigilant in making sure he always does his homework and studies.
We also recently learned that Oscar and Carmen’s father, although estranged from Mirna, has been making an effort to be a part of their lives. He agreed to help pay for part of their schooling in the beginning of the year and he has been trying to visit them regularly to remain a part of their lives.
