It has been a while since we have been able to visit Mirna and the “kids,” but recently we were able to make it out there!

Oscar has shot up like a bean sprout! He maintains his bony figure and we have encouraged him to keep trying to eat more and continue to take his medicine for the seizure spells that he was having. He hasn’t had an episode in a while. We are also happy to hear that Oscar started attending a local public school to continue his education on his own! This is the effort we were hoping to see last year. So, really cracking down and not being permissive and bending the rules for him in this regard seems to be motivating him to do things on his own!

Carmen continues to apply to jobs but has not been accepted for one yet.

Mirna has been experiencing some stomach pains the past couple of months. She has visited the clinic a number of times and they prescribed her medicine but it hasn’t helped. They told her she needs an ultrasound, which we are helping her pay for as well as a doctor consult to diagnose whatever she might have going on.

They still continue to get by with their bread sales and Carmen pics up odd jobs in their neighborhood. Please continue to pray for Carmen so that she might land a steady job, that Oscar would continue to give a full effort in his studies, and that Mirna would be healed of what ails her.
