A few days ago some of our missionaries visited with Maria and she shared with us that she has been having persistent problems with her ears. She has been losing hearing for awhile and one of her cousins brought her a hearing aid from the states but it is not fitting well for her. She also shared that she is having some very serious ear pains. The doctors are not sure if it’s a nerve issue or a membrane issue in her ear. The medicine to treat this is very expensive so she is taking a different medicine right now. Our missionaries prayed for her healing and we ask that you would please join us in continuing to pray for relief from this pain for Maria.
Maria also shared with our missionaries that she is not feeling as satisfied at her church anymore. She told us that she feels they are rushing through everything and not taking the time that they used to take to worship the Lord. She explained how her doctor invited her to a church but when she arrived she saw that everyone had arrived in cars and she didn’t go in because she felt “she was too poor to attend a church with people who can afford cars.” Our missionaries invited her to visit their church with them and offered to pick her up that Sunday for church service. She was very happy to have the opportunity to do that although she was a little concerned that the church our missionaries attend would not allow her to come because she is catholic and it is an evangelical church but they reassured her that everyone is welcome.
Please pray for Maria to have peace and healing with her ear pain and for the doctors to find a medicine that works and that is affordable. Please also pray for her to find a church where she feels comfortable and that she feels she has the time she desires to worshipping the Lord.
Thank you for your continued prayers, love, and support for Maria!
