A few days ago Jacinto, the son of Juanita and Pedro, was coming home and some men jumped him and robbed him.  They also punched him in the eye and now his eye is damaged to the point that he needs surgery.  Thankfully, he has a job that provides him with insurance but the wait for treatment here in Guatemala is often a very long process.  In the meantime, Jacinto is only able to see a little out of his eye and it is starting to get malformed due to the pressure from the injury.  Here is a picture of an eye that has the same injury that Jacinto has.  He has shared with us that his eye is starting to take this form:
