This is a test “blog post” from the mySARF communication system.  Ok, I’m a dork.  But really, it is time for “phase two” of testing the mySARF website.  Everyone should get this email that is registered.  In order for me to be able to make sure this happened, I’d like to ask that everyone reply to this post via email.  This will also test to make sure that sponsors can reply to any email they get to ask more questions about their families if necessary.  Additionally, when you respond, I would like to ask for answers to additional questions:

1) what do you think of the site tagline?  There has been mixed emotions from some of you about whether it makes sense or not.  This is the little title line on the main page that says, “becoming a part of your family.”  The point we are trying to get across is that the mySARF page is designed to help sponsors get more involved with their sponsored families.  A previous line read, “becoming a part of your family’s family.”  This also seemed a bit confusing.  What do you think?  Do you have other ideas?

2) What do you think of the color scheme.  Right now it is a white background with a black header.

3) Currently, we are missing some pictures of families.  I think that until we get these pictures, I will take them off the main page to remove the ugliness of gray squares that make it look like the page isn’t working properly.

4) Are there any other features we should add or take away?

5) As the scope of SARf grows, there will be an increased number of families (and subsequently pictures on the front page).  It was observed that it might be difficult to find your family based on just pictures.  One idea was to use pictures with the family names on them so they were easier to find.  Would this make it look more sloppy or more efficient?  Maybe as we grow we can use a different format for this altogether.

Please be sure to simply reply to this email and let me know your thoughts and that you received this post.  Thank you all for your cooperation and help!
