Last week our missionaries had a chance to visit with Emilia and Jerson to share an Easter blessing basket with them.  It was a great time to catch up with, see how things are going, pray, and encourage them.  As you may recall in November Jerson graduated from high school.  He has since been looking for a job using his education but sadly has not yet been able to find one.

This family is currently in a difficult situation as Emilia, Jerson’s mom, has not had steady work for quite some time and Jerson has not either.  Thankfully, Jerson’s sister is living with them so she and her son are able to help out to some degree but it is difficult to support the family on the income that Jerson’s sister and nephew bring into the home.

Sadly, this is a common problem in Guatemala where more than half the country is officially unemployed.  It is a struggle for Jerson to have finally reached his goal of finishing high school and now not being able to find a job.  But he and Emilia remain faithful that God will provide.

Please continue to pray for Jerson and Emilia to find a job.  Please also pray for God’s provisions for this family and that they would continue to seek Him in everything they do.
