In our last post we shared about how Jackeline was recently laid off from her job. She is now facing another trial as she was diagnosed with Hepatitis B. She has been in bed for 8 days straight and the doctor told her she needs to rest for another 7 days and continue with the treatment. At the end of this 7 days they will check to see how she is doing. Some of the symptoms Jackeline has been suffering with from her hepatitis are itching all over her body and lack of appetite. She is also at a risk for having something like a common cold turn into pneumonia because her immune system is compromised. It is a difficult time for Jackeline to have this illness because she is not able to be out looking for another job to provide for her family.
Jackeline did share with us that the children are doing well in their studies. School is still harder for Jairo than his sister Alejandra. We are looking into possibly changing the children’s school for the next school year because the current school is having internal and administrative issues. Despite their struggles the family continues to thank God for His provisions and for every way Servants continues to help them.
Please pray for healing for Jackeline and that she would be able to start looking for a job and find a job that is stable so that she can provide for her family. Please also pray for the children during their last month of school. The Guatemala school year ends in October so they will be finishing their school year in the next month.
