We’re happy to share that Ilsa, the woman who cares for the Fuentes children, is learning a new skill. Recently, the municipality started giving classes to teach women to sew so that they can try to make a living for their families. The classes are inexpensive, and Ilsa liked them so much that she bought herself a sewing machine. She is now continuing with the classes and hopes to be able to use this skill to make things to sell or to repair clothing for people so she is able to use this to generate income.
We are so thankful that Ilsa has been given this chance to learn a skill that she likes, and we are praying that this will help the family with their limited income. Please continue to pray for Ilsa to learn as much as she can and to be able to turn this skill into a regular job to help provide for the family.
Here is a picture of a pillow, which is one of Ilsa’s most recent creations in her sewing class.

Please also continue to pray for the kids and that they would continue to learn in school. Jairo switched to a new school this year and has been struggling a bit with his grades. He failed 3 classes this bimester. His teachers also say that he is having behavioral issues in school. Dincy has also struggled in school and failed 6 classes this bimester. We had a good talk with both of the kids about not wasting this opportunity they have been given and for them to remember that they are precious children of God (even if they struggle to believe that) and that they are good people and should be acting that way. They assured us they are going to improve this bimester.
Both children are also struggling in their relationship with the Lord. They are very distant when it comes to church or things involving God. They have little desire to attend church, and this is a struggle for their family as the people who care for them go to church several times a week. Please continue to pray for the Lord to work in the hearts of the children and to draw them into an amazing relationship with Him.
