We shared in our last post about the many struggles that were happening in Olga and Elias’ family and we wanted to share another post to ask that you would continue praying for their family as the struggles keep coming.

Olga is still without permanent work.  Elias recently was hired as a motorcycle messenger for a growing technology company!  Praise Jesus for this blessing!

We also shared in February about some “first year” marital struggles that Olga and Elias have been having.  These struggles have gotten worse over the past few months as the pressures of daily life have continued to mount and aggravate these issues.  A few weeks ago Olga and Elias started meeting regularly with some of our missionaries and the pastor of the local church to help them work through these issues.  They are making progress but it is still a daily struggle.

Along with everything else that has been going on a few weeks ago Olga received notice from her family in Honduras that her mother is in the hospital with pneumonia and her nephew fell and broke his leg.  This is very hard for Olga as she just lost her brother a few months ago and it’s difficult for her to not be able to be with her family during this trying times.  It’s also hard for her because her siblings keep telling her there is no money to care for mother and her nephew and they keep asking her to send money.  She has explained several times that she and Elias are just barely able to provide for their family and the she does not have any money to send but they continue to call her and ask her for money.

On a happier note the kids recently received their grades for the most recent bimester and Olga was very happy to see that Kesler passed all of his classes and Beverly only failed dance class.  After failing their year last year Kesler and Beverly were both very happy to have done so well in their classes.  Byron failed 2 classes this time and they are the 2 classes that he struggles with the most but he has been getting extra help in these classes and he also is doing better than he did last year.  We are working to find someone to test Byron because his teachers believe he has a learning disability and the he needs special classes which would help him a lot with struggles in school.

Please continue to pray for Olga, Elias, and the kids during these difficult times.  Pray for provisions of steady work, healing in their marriage, healing for Olga’s family in Honduras, that the kids would continue to do well in school and that we can get Byron the help he needs.

Thank you for your faithful prayers, love, and support for this family!
