Recently we shared about Jackeline’s struggle with Hepatitis B and we wanted to give you an update to let you know she is doing better!  Please join us in giving praise to Jesus the Great Healer.  This illness along with some other challenges has been very hard on Jackeline and her family. Jackeline’s son, Jairo, is still struggling very much with the loss of his father and this recent illness of Jackeline’s scared him very much.  He kept asking her “please don’t die mommy.”  This has added to Jairo’s previous difficulties in school as he was having trouble doing what he needed to for school and he was getting in trouble a little at school during Jackeline’s illness.  Alejandra, Jackeline’s daughter, was also very scared and there were some troubles in the family with her blaming Jairo for their mom’s illness because of his acting out and difficulties.  Jackeline talked with both of the children and explained to them that it was no one’s fault and that sometimes we just get sick.  She told them that right now she wasn’t able to do as much as she normally does so this is their opportunity to do something for her and what she wants them to do is study as hard as they can and do the best they are able in school and other areas.  The children are doing better after that talk and they are relieved now that Jackeline is doing better.

Please continue to pray for Jairo as the loss of his father has impacted him greatly.  In addition to his struggles in school he has also started calling some of the teachers at school “dad” and there have been some problems with this because this is something the school does not allow.  Jackeline has had several discussions with the teachers and they are working to see how they can best help Jairo.

Despite these struggles Jackeline has expressed to us that she knows everything has a purpose and she explained that one of the blessings of being sick and having to be home and in bed so much was that she had more time to spend with God and read her bible.  She has had a lot of time (she was in bed for 21 days) to think about things and to see how God continues to care for her and her children and teach them wonderful things.

Please continue to pray for Jackeline get back to her full strength and energy she had before her illness and for her to find a job.  Also, Jackeline is considering changing the school for her children next year because there is another one close by that would be better; please pray for God’s direction on this.  Jackeline has also asked that we pray for her father who recently lost his job and her mother, who has chronic kidney disease.  Finally, please pray for continued healing for all of this family from the loss of their husband/father and that the children would continue to grow strong in the Lord and do well in school.  Thank you all for your continued prayers and support for this family!
