Main page
I changed the families who currently do not have family pics to a silhouette of a family.  Pablo found a good one to use and even gave it Guatemalan colors!  In their profile, I annotated “photo not yet available”.  Pablo did an amazing job of enhancing the photos we already had and adding the family names.  Give the guy a hi-five when you see him next!  Some pictures aren’t the best quality. as we get more pictures of families, we will be updating them.

Family Profiles
I added some pics to each family profile with a little info on each member so that sponsors can see who is who from the main picture and also learn a little more about them.  I also changed the wording of some of the profiles and took a little information out since it seemed like more of a blog post than a profile.  Do you have any suggestions as to what we should add to these profiles or a particular format for these families?  Keep in mind, we are still learning about and getting to know some of them, so some of the info may be incomplete.

Blog Posts
You may have noticed, depending on your subscription preferences, that I have started posting updates for the families.  I hope to have one update per family completed before we make this site open to our sponsors.  One of the obstacles is that we still have a few families to meet with before we have enough information to share.

Birthday Calendar
There is an interactive calendar on the right column of the posts page.  This has links to view details on SARF family members who have birthdays.  It has a picture (if we have one) their birthdate, and links to family updates and profiles (in case someone doesn’t know the family and wants to learn more).

Guatemalan Facts Page
Someone suggested providing a link to a page that has basic Guatemalan facts on the site for folks who would like to know more about Guatemala in general.  My original thought was the CIA world factbook because it’s quite accurate and updated regularly, so we don’t have to maintain it.  I will be adding that shortly, but wanted to put it out there in case anyone had a better idea.

As always, I appreciate your input and help in this to make the best user experience possible for our sponsors!
