About two weeks ago, Roselia called us with an urgent need.  It appears Andre (the oldest) was on a ladder trying to nail down a loose piece of roofing when the ladder gave out beneath him and he fell on his tailbone.  He had multiple bruises and found it very difficult to walk.  Roselia asked if we could help with a doctor’s visit.  She had taken Andre to the local medical clinic and they gave him some ibuprofen for the pain.  After taking him to a private doctor we found out that he broke his coccyx!  The doctor prescribed some medicine, gave him a pain reliever shot, and put him on bedrest for a week.  We also were able to get him a specialized cushion to sit on that will relieve the pressure on his spine until it heals.

Andre, Anthony, and Kevin are all back in school!  Andre is having to repeat 5th grade this year as he did not do very well last year but he is committed to doing better.  The school director is working with him one-on-one to apply a little more pressure on him so he remains more disciplined in his work.  Anthony is excited (for the most part) to be attending school except he doesn’t always enjoy having to do homework.  During our last visit we also witnessed a bit of disobedience on his part and frustration from Roselia as he wouldn’t listen to her at all.  We tried to help her out by talking to him but we’re sure when we left he didn’t change much.  Please continue to pray for Roselia’s patience and wisdom in dealing with him when he acts out like that and for him to be more obedient.  Kevin so far is enjoying being back in school this year and has already shown improvement!
