In our last update, Olga shared the vision God has given her for reaching the unreached in the fringes of Guatemala. As she, along with Jackeline and Walter, continues to lead this ministry while following God’s direction, they are creating more opportunities for at-risk families in Villa Nueva, Guatemala. This vital work is part of our broader mission of planting a church family that nurtures spiritual growth and community support missions in Guatemala.

Below are some images from the Mother’s Day event that Olga held at the ministry center. The purpose of these activities is to foster an atmosphere of trust and companionship among the families, especially single, uneducated mothers seeking spiritual growth. These women have often been marginalized by local churches. They may attend services but find their spiritual experiences limited to hearing sermons. While some participate in church activities, it is often out of obligation rather than personal fulfillment.

Our vision is to plant a church family where these women can let their guard down, be real, be heard, and be understood. Most importantly, it is a place where they can be refreshed and renewed. When these women return to their homes, they carry a renewed sense of belonging and purpose, sharing God’s love with their neighbors. It all starts with supporting missions in Guatemala that provide a safe and nurturing environment.

Olga organized fun activities, gifts, prizes, food, and a spiritual lesson. She was pleasantly surprised by the high level of engagement and interaction. Women who had never opened up before poured their hearts out, and others who tended to isolate themselves made new friends. They are eagerly anticipating the next activity: a sleepover!
