There have been some ups and downs in the lives of the Fuentes children and their care takers since our last update.  Yanira did not pass her year of school last year and was evasive and undecided when our missionaries tried several times to talk to her about if she wants to continue in schooling or if she wants to try some specialized job training.  She is currently not attending school because she does not know what she wants to do.  We are trying to encourage her to really think about this and let us know because we do not want to see her not finish her education or get some specialized training which can help her get a job in the future.

Jairo and Dincy continue to attend school and are showing interest in getting more involved with school activities but it is hard for them because of work schedules and the traveling that is required for some of the activities.  We have shared with the family the importance of making sure the kids have time to focus on their studies and do their homework even though they need to work to help provide for the families needs.  Ilsa, the woman who cares for the Fuentes children, has also shared with us that Dincy is struggling with some rebellion against God and going to church.

Please continue to pray for this family.  There is a lot of hurt in the children from losing their mom a few years ago and it is difficult for Ilsa and her husband to have taken on the burden of caring for 3 other children.  Please pray for Yanira to make a decision as to what she wants to do with her future studies.  Please pray for Jairo to be able to focus in school and do well despite the hours he works.  Please pray for Dincy, and for all of the family, to grow closer to the Lord and to realize that He is the only one who can meet all of our needs.
