As you may remember from our last post in November the Mansilla family had a bit of a rough year last year with Estuardo’s schooling. Due to that and some other issues that Estuardo was having, Dayana decided it would be best if Estuardo spent this year living with her parents closer to Guatemala city. This would give Estuardo the opportunity to attend a school that Dayana felt would serve him better and he would also have the guidance of her 2 parents to help lead him on the right path. Estuardo was also able to get a job working with Dayana’s brother-in-law at the car wash he owns so he would be able to help pay for his schooling this year because Dayana said that “he should have to make up for the money of his supporters which he didn’t use to the best of his ability last year.”

Things were going well for the first few months but we have recently heard that Estuardo lost his job at the car wash. He has bought a guitar and has decided to start playing with a band in some local bars. He is still attending school but we are all concerned for this path that Estuardo is taking.

Dayana is struggling with some health issues and she and her other son Andre have been struggling to attend church regularly. Some of our missionaries, along with the local pastors, visited Dayana last week and she expressed some things that show that she is dealing with some serious spiritual attacks in her life.

Please pray for Dayana, Estuardo, and Andre as they go through this time of trial in their lives. Please pray for God to show us in the Serving At Risk Families ministry and the congregation of the local church how we can best serve this family during this difficult time.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support of this family and please continue to pray for them daily as they have a great need for us to lift them up to the only one who can truly change these circumstances our amazing Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
