Jackeline continues to look for work, but otherwise is doing well.  She has had some issues with anxiety and nervousness with Jairo as he has recently had some struggles in school.

Jairo’s new teacher reports that he seems distracted in school.  He pays attention one moment and the next he seems lost in his thoughts.  We are working closely with the school on this and since he struggles in math, Jackeline is working out the details with a teacher that lives by so we can try to get him some tutoring help.  If that doesn’t improve his attention in class, we will be looking for a way to have him evaluated once again to see if he needs some psychological help.  Two years ago he was visiting a psychiatrist for some sadness and depression he was feeling over losing his dad.  Jackeline says he hasn’t been showing symptoms of depression but it is clear that something else has his attention.  Additionally, he has had another allergic outbreak of hives, so the doctor prescribed some strong anti-allergy medicine to treat it.

Alejandra is loving school and continues to enjoy learning English.  She has memorized a good handful of phrases but still struggles to remember what they mean.

Jackeline’s dad, Carlos, is still undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, but is having positive results.

Please continue to pray for them all as they continue to fight to move forward despite their struggles.  We know God is using it to keep them strong as a family and we look forward to seeing Him help them overcome the difficulties they face.
