Recently the Cordero family had quite a scare as Jerson came down with a severe illness that no one could explain.  His mother, Emilia, called one of Servants’ missionaries and he went to pray with the family and see if anything more could be done.  Praise the Lord, Jerson came through this illness and is back to finishing his school work.  We have seen in Emilia that she is a very courageous woman who is always trusting in the Lord to provide and care for her family and the Lord has proven Himself faithful yet again.  Emilia continues to attend her small church and is looking for work since she lost her job cleaning houses.  She told us that in between looking for a job she spends a good part of the day going out and collecting firewood for the family to cook with because it is cheaper than gas.

Jerson expressed to us how thankful he is to God for everything He has helped with this year.  This is Jerson’s last year of school and it has been a hard year for him with all the school work he has had but he is thankful to have this opportunity and is looking forward to graduating this month. He recently took his exams (which he paid for himself because he wanted to help out since Servants has been helping his family so much) and once he receives the grades he will find out if he is graduating!

Please continue to pray for this family.  For Emilia to find work, for continued healing and strength for Jerson, and for Jerson to pass his exams and find a good job now that he has completed his education.
