Although there hasn’t been much new to report about the Jimenez Family, we wanted to make sure you continue to pray for them! Carmen’s health has been mostly good recently. She tested positive again for H. Pylori (a stomach bacteria that can lead to cancer) and we were able to help her with treatment for it. She continues to travel back and forth from Villa Nueva (where Jorge lives) and Guatemala City every 2 weeks to spend time with both Jorge and her daughter in the city.
Jorge continues to struggle with drinking. Due to our staffing changes, a different missionary on our team has started to visit the family to encourage Jorge to stop drinking and help him with his addiction. While he is still somewhat resistant, we also know that he appreciates the love and concern we have for him despite his addiction. His relationship with his boys still hangs in the balance of whether he is drinking or not.
Please continue to join us in prayer for the breaking of these chains that has him so bound in his addiction as well as continued protection over Carmen as she travels and for her health!
