Aminta’s family has experienced some hardship recently.  She told us that she was losing feeling in her toes and that her eyesight was worsening.  That is when we found out she stopped taking her diabetes medicine because she “ran out”.  The way the system works is that the government clinic will freely give her the medicine she needs on a daily basis as long as she gets tested regularly.  They give her enough medicine to last her until her next test then once she gets tested and brings them the results, she gets more medicine.  Unfortunately, she did not want to ask for help for her tests and she spent what she had on medicine for her sick son who is in prison.  While we appreciate her desire to not take advantage of the ministry, we implored her to please let us know so we can help with her testing.  We are currently waiting for her to tell us when she would like to go get tested.

The rest of the family is doing well and Jeny’s lingering cough has been healed!  The girls are currently out of work (they had been working as nannies and babysitting when opportunities presented themselves) and have been struggling with their English and math classes in school.  Please pray for God to give them more wisdom and knowledge in this area and to present them with more opportunities to work.

The family is very grateful for the monthly nutrition supplement baskets they are receiving as it is helping them while they try to find more work.  Additionally, Aminta learned this week that her next hearing is September 5th.  She was only told the time and date to be there.  She is hoping and praying that there will be resolution to this ongoing burden and asks for your prayers for God’s favor in this matter.
