In February we shared an update about the 2 jobs that Dayana may have available to her.  Sadly, neither of these opportunities worked out.  Dayana never heard back from the church who was considering her for a secretarial position even though she tried several times to follow up with them and on her second interview at the call center they told her that her English needs improvement before they could hire her.  While this was disappointing for Dayana she continues to trust that God has a plan for her family and that He will provide.

Dayana continues to do well with her classes at chef school and she is enjoying everything she is learning.  A few weeks ago they had their first cooking test where Dayana and her team had to prepare appetizers.  They made a shrimp bisque and zucchini soup with croutons.

Dayana also recently had an opportunity to move forward with something she has been praying about for quite some time.  For those of you who have been to Guatemala on a SARF trip you know that Dayana is a great cook and that she gets many requests for her recipes.  Several times people have told her that she should make a cookbook with all of her recipes and sell it to help provide for her family.  In January one of the women on the team, Carol, heard Dayana share about this possibility and the Lord put it on her heart to return to Guatemala and help Dayana get started on a cookbook.  Last week Carol returned to Guatemala and spent the week helping get this project started.  Dayana is very excited about this but is also very shy about taking this step.  If you would like to be put on the pre order list, please write to trent@servants.org

Dayana was also very excited to share with us that both of her sons Andre and Estuardo passed all of their classes this bimester.  The boys continue to enjoy school and do well in their classes which is something we are all thankful for given their struggles in school in the past.

Please continue to pray for God to provide for Dayana and her family whether that is through a steady job, through a cookbook, or through some other means.  Please also continue to pray for the boys to do well in school and for the whole family to continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Thank you for all of your faithful prayers, love, and support for this family!
