Recently we got a chance to sit down and catch up with Dayana, who has been working very hard to finish her culinary degree.  She has been working double time after receiving a scholarship to increase her associate’s degree to a bachelor’s!  Here are some pictures for her final exam presentation.

Dayana officially graduates on December 4th and we look forward to being there to congratulate her!  Estuardo successfully passed his first year of electronics school and Andre is looking forward to high school, where he plans to follow in his mother’s footsteps and study culinary arts as well!

Dayana asks for your prayers as she seeks a job in the new field she has been working so hard to get her degree in.  It is very competitive and while she has been offered a handful of special events to cater, she is really hoping to get a job working in the restaurant of a nice hotel in Guatemala City.  One issue is that while her parents live in the city, their house is rather small and rent for an apartment in the city is at least 3x that which she is paying to live in Villa Nueva!

She asks for your prayers as she seeks God’s will and provision for this coming year.  There will be some big decisions that need to be made and even bigger steps of faith as she transitions into her new career.
